Guidelines for enduring appeal.

SkyRidge is destined to be an address of choice for today and generations to come.

To preserve this appeal and support long-term investment returns, a set of carefully drafted Design Guidelines have been established to ensure that all homes and landscapes are designed in harmony with their surroundings and work together to create attractive streetscapes today and into the future.

All home builders within the estate are required to comply with the Design Guidelines and all plans are to be approved prior to construction commencing. The approval process is fully explained in the Design Guidelines document, which can be downloaded here.

Protecting our local and ultimately the global environment is paramount to creating an address that brings comfort, security and peace of mind to all those who live there. That’s why, right from the outset, we have pledged to invest time, resources and money into ensuring that SkyRidge is a wonderful balanced habitat for humans as well as for our native animals, birdlife and flora.

To achieve this, we sought the guidance of a number of environmental and sustainability experts.

They undertook detailed and thorough assessments of all the possible impacts that SkyRidge’s development and occupancy might have on the local eco-system. Then they provided extensive recommendations on the best ways to preserve and even enhance the local environment, the habitats, eco-systems and water resources of SkyRidge and its surrounds.

To be truly effective however, a community’s sustainability program must look beyond the boundaries of the address. We have an obligation to do our best for the global environment, which is why we have also included initiatives that can help SkyRidge and its residents reduce their carbon footprint, minimise the use of rare resources, and build a community that’s environmentally and socially sustainable now, and for generations to come.

While many of the initiatives required considerable capital outlay, we did not see this as a burden, but rather a valuable and rewarding investment in nature.

SkyRidge is passionate about reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible, and we know our residents are as well. It’s why we recommend the net zero home app, RapidLCA – putting more sustainable design decisions in your hands.

Offered as a web-based app, a mobile app and website, RapidLCA lets you input simple building information about your preferred home design, and within minutes, it will provide details of the home’s lifecycle lifetime carbon footprint and comparison against a benchmark of sustainability features.

With this data at your fingertips, you can then chat with your builder about ways to minimise the environmental impact of your new home while maximising comfort for you, your hip pocket, and for future generations.
