SkyRidge is proud to announce the recent double triumph of its acclaimed ‘sister’ address, Witchcliffe Ecovillage, near Margaret River, WA.

Created by the Perron Group – the same visionaries who are bringing SkyRidge to life – the Ecovillage garnered two of the most prestigious honours in the recent Urban Development Institute of Australia National Awards for Excellence.

The environmentally focused address was not only recognised for its excellence in sustainability, but was crowned Australia’s Project of the Year – the industry’s top honour.

As well as celebrating the Ecovillage’s achievements in design, innovation and engagement, the Project of the Year win is a testament to the values and development philosophies that underpin every community in the Perron Group stable, including SkyRidge.

Just as importantly, the Sustainable Urban Development Award acknowledges Witchcliffe Ecovillage’s holistic approach to sustainable living, integrating self-sufficiency in renewable energy and water, extensive community gardens, and regenerative agriculture practices into its design.

This remarkable achievement for the Ecovillage confirms The Perron Group’s and its development partner Sustainable Settlements’ commitment to innovative, eco-conscious practices and a design, vision and masterplan that puts community at the very centre of its being.

“This recognition is a testament to the dedication and passion of our team, as well as the unwavering support of our community and partners,” said Mike Hulme, Director and Co-Founder of the Witchcliffe Ecovillage.

“It also highlights the increasing significance of sustainability and innovation within our industry, reaffirming the positive influence our project has had on both the community and the broader industry landscape.”

Each year, the UDIA National Awards assess nominations from across the country, to find those stand-out communities and organisations that are setting new benchmarks for excellence in property development and delivering outstanding achievements in urban design.
